Sunday. 11th September 2016.

I couldn’t choose just one picture for today so I chose my favourites from the last six weeks.

The Western Region Football League, Division 1 Grand Finals were the final day for me today. The last five weeks has been six full days of football; a total of eighteen finals games, including six Grand Finals over the five weeks of WRFL finals action.
I’ve enjoyed exclusive access and views at Avalon Airport Oval, Burbank Oval and Whitten Oval, with highlights and lowlights like watching The Big Fev, pumping up dozens of match balls, walking in on half naked umpires, climbing countless stairs, enduring cold wet feet, living on coffee, climbing more stairs, witnessing the Altona FC BBQ and legends in action, tussling with unobliging coaching staff at oval-side, wrangling naughty players, climbing more stairs, unwrapping 150+ medals, polishing and ribboning 6 Premiership Cups, enjoying pats on the back, disliking the early mornings and being late home, loving the thank you’s, climbing more stairs and completing pages and pages of match day paperwork… and I’m done now!
I enjoyed it heaps. It has brought me a huge amount of satisfaction.
Go Vikings for 2017!
